This is your morning instrument panel — not a curriculum. Glance at it before work begins. Re-anchor. Then move. You already know this. This is the reminder.
The single most common reason PSEditor gives you a vague output is a vague input. Sloppy requests are not a skill problem — they are a habit problem. One extra minute of specificity saves thirty minutes of revision.
WHAT: What format? (Ghost HTML card / ElevenLabs script / docx / email / cheat sheet)
SCOPE: How long / how many sections / how deep?
PURPOSE: What does the person DO with this when it lands?
"Build something for the 101 guide"
"Help with the Dusty email"
"What should I do about sound?"
"Build Ep 1 of the 101 guide as a Ghost HTML card, personal field manual, Merwin as sole audience"
"Write a follow-up email to Dusty Johnson at Wily Cycleworks — missed him today, include Before We Talk link, one clear ask: reply with a date"
"DJI Mic 3 receiver to R6 — which port, which cable, what setting in R6 menu"
When you find industry gold in your morning emails — like the cycling newsroom article — the specific ask is: "This is relevant to The Grey Revolution because [reason]. Help me [respond / adapt / build something from it / add it to the PSEditor business page]." That one sentence of framing saves the whole conversation.
Three tools. Three distinct jobs. They do not overlap. Confusion about which tool does what causes most mid-session stumbles.
- ✗Watch a video or read a YouTube URL
- ✗Generate images — use Gemini Image 3 for that
- ✗Access your Ghost CMS directly — you paste, you publish
- ✗Remember previous sessions without a PARKED file or MasterState paste
You do not control the room. You are in the room. Every visit opens more stories than you went looking for. This is not a problem. This is the publication engine.
- 1Steve carries case in. You walk in with R6 on neck strap + sling bag.
- 2Choose your spot immediately. Sit to set up if needed. Do not wander.
- 3Clip DJI Mic 3 transmitter to subject BEFORE touching camera.
- 4R6 on tripod + RS3 Mini = locked wide. Hit record. Leave it running.
- 5One format only — 16:9 landscape R6. Build 9:16 in post from best 45-60 sec.
- 6Ask three questions. Let them run. Your voice does not appear in final cut.
- 7After interview: A25 + Osmo for three B-roll shots only. 90 seconds max.
- ✗Do NOT chase both 9:16 and 16:9 simultaneously during interview.
- ✗Do NOT press record on R6 and then leave it unconfirmed. Check the red dot.
You have five minutes while their customers are standing there. The sequence that makes it painless:
- 1Introduce the purpose in one sentence. "I'm going to set a camera here — takes two minutes, won't be in your customers' way."
- 2Mic first, camera second. Clip transmitter to subject while you talk. Audio running before camera is locked.
- 3Tripod at counter edge or corner. Never blocking foot traffic. Never between subject and customer.
- 4One stool or chair for subject. Seated interviews are calmer, more stable, easier on your Parkinson's stability.
- 5Check record. Check audio meter. Begin.
PSEditor delivers a complete Episode Pack. The most common stumble: trying to do everything at once. The Episode Pack is a sequence, not a menu. Do one part, complete it, move to the next.
- 1ElevenLabs first. Paste VO script → generate Mae Rowan MP3 → save file. Audio exists before you open CapCut.
- 2CapCut — import files. All images and clips in before you touch the timeline.
- 3CapCut — build 16:9 episode first. Full interview + B-roll. This is the anchor.
- 4CapCut — extract 9:16 Sizzler from best 45-60 seconds. Crop/reframe from 16:9. Do not reshoot.
- 5Export 9:16 first, then 16:9. Always. Open Folder — not Share.
- 6Upload to YouTube. Shorts first, long form second. Use the YouTube upload block from Episode Pack.
- 7Ghost post. Paste HTML card. Add Bookmark cards where marked. Set tags in order. Publish.
- 8Social captions. Copy from Episode Pack. Post to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X.
- ✗Do NOT open CapCut before the ElevenLabs MP3 exists.
- ✗Do NOT try to write the Ghost post while CapCut is open.
- ✗Do NOT post to social before the Ghost URL is live.
